Archipelago Sea

Archipelago Sea of Finland. Described as the most beautiful archipelago in the world, the landscape changes constantly from barren rocky islets to lively island villages and from the blue open sea to sheltered rocky coves. There are more islands and islets in the Archipelago Sea than anywhere else - more than 40 000 in total. Maybe you can find your own favorite island here too?

The Finnish Archipelago Sea is the sea area between the Åland Sea, the Gulf of Bothnia and the Gulf of Finland, and is part of the larger Baltic Sea. The Archipelago Sea covers an area of more than 8,000 square kilometres, of which 2,000 square kilometres is land. The largest islands in the Archipelago Sea are still inhabited all year round, making it a unique cultural site. The majority of the small islands and islets are wild and uninhabited and this, together with the finnish everymans rights, gives paddlers unique opportunities to move around in nature. The nature of the Archipelago Sea is special and very diverse. In addition, the archipelago sea is also accessible by public boats and ferries. This combination makes the Archipelago Sea a very unique place and a great destination for kayakers. By kayaking you can experience and see up close the culture and lifestyle of today's archipelago.

Archipelago Sea National Park

Our activities are focused on the Archipelago Sea and especially the Archipelago Sea National Park area. The Archipelago Sea National Park was established in 1983 and covers an area of 500 km2. The landscape of the Archipelago Sea National Park is dominated by extensive archipelagos, consisting of rocky and forested islands and large backwaters. Since 1994, a large part of the archipelago has been included in the UNESCO World Network of Biosphere Reserves. Together with local residents, entrepreneurs, scientists, public authorities and organisations, the Archipelago Biosphere Reserve aims to find sustainable ways of living and working in the archipelago - ways that contribute to the positive development of the archipelago and the cleanliness of the sea. We are involved as an official partner of the Biosphere Reserve.

We have travelled around the world many times and seen many beautiful places. In our experience, the landscape of the Archipelago Sea is one of the most impressive, a real treasure in the world. We are grateful that it is also our home. It is our immense pleasure to bring you with us to explore, enjoy and fall in love with the archipelago.
