On overnight trips we paddle across the diverse Archipelago Sea. For more detailed route descriptions, see the paddling trips section.

The islands of Nötö and Aspö can be reached by the MS Utö connecting ferry. MS Utö departs from Pärnäs (Pärnäinen) in Nauvo. The ferry trip to the island takes about two hours and is free of charge. See travel instructions and ferry timetables. here.

Yes you can. We also have a range of excursions and courses suitable for beginners, so you don't need previous kayaking experience. Yes, it is! When you paddle with us, our professional guides will keep you and your group safe and will do their best to minimise any potential risks. Our guides are trained in sea conditions, can monitor changing weather conditions and the well-being of the group, and are familiar with the area we are kayaking. If conditions dictate, we can also change the route, location or time so that the event can be organised safely.

As conditions can change rapidly here in the outer archipelago, it is extremely important for safety that you only go kayaking alone if you have a good command of the kayak handling, steering, navigation and rescue techniques required by the conditions. We offer supported self-guided tour packages for experienced paddlers and are happy to arrange a rescue course or private kayaking class if you need a refresher. Also check out our range of basic sea kayaking courses.

Ticks are quite common in the archipelago, although the situation can vary greatly from island to island. Some ticks may carry the TBE virus or the borrelia bacterium, although these viruses are not very common. We recommend that you make regular tick checks in the morning and in the evening and especially after walking in the heath. The best way to get the tick off your skin is with tick tweezers. If you remove an attached tick from your skin as soon as possible, the risk of contracting the disease is very low.
